Pair a TV

A TV shows your dashboard once you have paired it with your account. Pairing takes a code from the TV and a few clicks in OfficeDash. You don't need a keyboard on the TV afterwards.

1. Open /tv on the TV

Open the browser on the TV (or on the small computer behind it) and go to /tv on your OfficeDash address. A TV that isn't paired yet shows the pairing screen instead of a dashboard.

2. The code and the QR code

The pairing screen shows a 6-character code and, next to it, a QR code. The code changes every minute. Letters and numbers that look alike (0 and O, 1 and I) are left out, so it is easy to read from across the room.

3. Approve it in OfficeDash

Sign in on your own computer or phone and approve the TV in one of two ways:

• Open Pair a TV in OfficeDash and type the code. Upper or lower case and spaces don't matter. Give the TV a name and pick the dashboard it shows, then press Pair TV.
• Or scan the QR code with your phone. It opens the same page with the code already filled in.

Within a few seconds the TV switches over to the dashboard you picked.

When the code expires

If nobody approves the code, you don't have to do anything on the TV: a new code appears by itself, and a pairing request that has waited for 15 minutes is replaced by a fresh one. Just enter the new code that is on the screen now. If you typed an old code and it is refused, look at the TV again and use the current one.
