Simplicate

Simplicate is a business application for projects, hours and HR. When you connect it to OfficeDash, your office TV shows your active projects, the hours your team booked this week, and who has a birthday, an anniversary, is new or is away. You connect it on Integrations.

1. What Simplicate adds

• People data on the TV: birthdays, work anniversaries, new colleagues and who is on leave today, read from Simplicate HRM.
• Your workspace's active projects.
• The hours your team booked this week, as one total for the whole team.

OfficeDash only reads from Simplicate. It never changes anything in Simplicate, and it never reads hours per person, clients or budgets.

2. Creating the API key and secret in Simplicate

1. In Simplicate, go to Settings → API.
2. Create a new API key.
3. Copy the API key and the API secret. You need both.
4. Note your Simplicate domain: the yourcompany part of yourcompany.simplicate.nl, the address you use to open Simplicate.

The key works as the Simplicate user it belongs to. That user needs the rights to read HRM (employees), projects and hours. Without them, connecting fails with "Simplicate accepted the key, but its user lacks the rights to read this data."

3. Connecting and disconnecting

1. Open Integrations, press Add integration, choose Simplicate and press Connect. Simplicate now has its own card on the page, with the status Not connected.
2. Fill in Simplicate domain (for example yourcompany.simplicate.nl), API key and API secret from section 2.
3. Press Connect.
4. The card now shows Connected, with your domain, the Key (only its last four characters) and the date it was Connected.

To stop using Simplicate, press Disconnect. To use another key or account, disconnect first, then connect again with the new details.

Only the account holder, and members who are allowed to add or remove integrations, see the form and Disconnect. Other members see only the status.

4. Widgets it enables

Connecting Simplicate unlocks six widgets for your slides: Projects and Hours this week, and the four people widgets Birthdays, Work anniversaries, New colleagues and Out of office. The store entry lists them under Widgets it adds.

Until Simplicate is connected, the widget store in the slide editor shows "Connect Simplicate to add 2 widgets" instead of Projects and Hours this week. The people widgets are also unlocked by HoorayHR or Shiftbase. If HoorayHR is connected too, the people data comes from HoorayHR.
